A new filing in the FCC database has revealed an unannounced Apple-made Bluetooth headphone. Here are the details.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n As spotted by MacRumors<\/a><\/em>\u00a0(via Aaron Perris<\/a>), a new FCC filing lists an unreleased Apple product with the model number A3577.<\/p>\n In the document, under a section titled \u201cDevice Under Test (DUT) Information,\u201d the device is described simply as \u201cBluetooth over-ear headphones,\u201d and as having \u201can integral battery, microphone and antenna.\u201d<\/p>\n The filing also lists the information as \u201cprepared for Apple Inc.,\u201d followed by the company\u2019s address.<\/p>\n With most of the details still withheld under a confidentiality request, it is still impossible to tell whether these are Apple-branded headphones or a new Beats product.<\/p>\n Contrary to many of its product lines, Apple doesn\u2019t have a clear model naming scheme that distinguishes AirPods from Beats, with both product families using the same broad \u201cA####\u201d format.<\/p>\n For example, Apple lists AirPods Max 2<\/a> as A3454, AirPods Max 1 USB-C as A3184, and the original AirPods Max as A2096. But recent Beats products use the same format too: the Beats Studio Pro<\/a> used A2924 in its FCC filings, and the Powerbeats Pro 2<\/a> filings used A3157 (left earbud), A3158 (right earbud), and A3160 (charging case).<\/p>\n Given that Apple just released the AirPods Max 2<\/a>, the filing seems more likely to point to an upcoming Beats product. Beats\u2019 current headphone lineup includes the Beats Studio Pro<\/a>, launched in July 2023, and the Beats Solo 4<\/a>, launched in April 2024.<\/p>\n What do you think this headphone product could be?
