Three hours have passed since the start of the sixth citizen protest against the government and the project in Zvërnec, but the resistance of citizens in the square continues. Protesters are demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama, the cancellation of the controversial project in Zvërnec, and the review of a series of decisions that, according to them, violate the public interest.

For six days in a row, Tirana’s main boulevard has become the epicenter of protests, where citizens have expressed their opposition through banners, slogans, and marches.

Organizers have announced that the movement will continue until their demands are met, which include the cancellation of opposed projects, transparency in government decision-making, and the assumption of political responsibilities by the executive.

We recall that yesterday 5 demands were presented by the “New Civic Movement” to Rama:

1-The resignation of the Government
2-Abolition of the status and legal framework related to strategic investors!
3-Repeal of the Mountains Package
4-Cancellation of changes to the law on Protected Areas
5-Cancellation and amendment of Albanian cultural heritage.
