Strong 5.3 Magnitude Earthquake Shakes Egypt

A strong earthquake has shaken cities across Egypt, taking place shortly after 3AM local time.

The USGS National Earthquake Information Centre reports an earthquake of 5.3 magnitude taking place, with an epicenter around 41 kilometres North East of Suez.

There are currently no reports of damage or injuries.
