“I am raising my glass to Albania, to the Albanian people, to the special moments that unite us, to the Europe that we are building together. Long live Albania, long live Franco-Albanian friendship”, the French president declared in Albanian.
During the ceremony, Macron presented the writer Ismail Kadare with the “Grand Officer of the Legion of Honor” decoration.
“You are already in the center of Europe. Just look at your story, you have inspired this continent. This continent is a conversation that has not known how to speak properly for thousands of years”, he further expressed.
