The 23rd massive protest in front of the Prime Minister’s Office will be held today at 19:00 PM, where citizens will once again gather in front of the government building to demand the resignation of the government and the non-negotiable resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama.

As happened in yesterday’s protest, the diaspora is expected to be part of the revolt, with immigrants flocking en masse to Tirana under the motto: When Albania calls, its sons respond.

The protest is considered the culmination of civic mobilization after three weeks of non-stop demonstrations.

The revolt has now transcended its initial cause and has become a broader movement against corruption, misgovernment, lack of accountability, and the mass exodus of young people from the country. The participation of the diaspora is an indication that dissatisfaction with the government is not limited to the territory of Albania.

The rally is expected to start at 19:00 PM at ‘Skënderbej’ Square and will then march towards the Prime Minister’s Office.

The 23st day of anti-government protests is seen as an important test for the continuity of the civic revolt, which has kept political developments in the country in the spotlight for three weeks.
