Today’s civic protest, which took place on “Martyrs of the Nation” Boulevard and then on the main streets of the capital, has ended after more than 5 hours.
Thousands of citizens, after gathering in Skanderbeg Square on the seventh day of mass rallies, preceding what has been described as the largest protest organized so far against the government, began the march towards the Prime Minister’s Office.
From all over the city, protesters are marching with banners in their hands, red and black flags and strong calls to politics. The atmosphere on the streets is heated, as citizens demand the resignation of the government and Prime Minister Edi Rama.
This gathering was massive and marked a new peak in the civic revolt that has engulfed the country and the diaspora in recent days.
The demands remain clear: the cancellation of questionable projects, the protection of national assets, and the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama.
