Prime Day has given us some pretty substantial savings on top-tier OLED TVs, but what if you don’t want to spend hundreds, or even thousands, of pounds?
If you’re after an affordable Prime Day bargain, then the Award-winning Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max (2nd Generation) is certainly worth a look.
At just £40 here in the UK, and $35 in the US, it unlocks a range of streaming-focused picture and sound benefits. It also brings a huge range of streaming apps (for both movies and gaming) to the table.
It’s an especially good option for those who are trying to squeeze another year or two out of an ageing 4K TV; no one likes a laggy operating system…
A full Dolby Atmos system in a box for just £199
The Hisense AX5125H is a full Dolby Atmos system in a box, and it’s down to just £199 at Richer Sounds.
The system consists of a soundbar, two dinky surround speakers, and a subwoofer. I did our review of the system, and I don’t mind admitting that my expectations going in were pretty low, given the price (it was £249 at the time).
What I found, though, was a really immersive Dolby Atmos presentation with lots of chunky weight, impressively accurate placement of effects, plenty of punch and good detail.
To be able to fill your room with satisfying home cinema sound for this price is pretty nuts. I don’t think there’s a bigger AV bargain available.
The best home cinema deal of Prime Day?
Fancy getting almost £1000 off a 4K projector? Of course you do!
The Xgimi Horizon Ultra got four stars from us at its original price of £1749, and it’s an incredibly strong option at this deal price of £759 at Amazon.
This is a bright, colourful, living room-friendly projector that’s ideal for the World Cup and family movie nights.
It’s got a couple of flaws, most notably a slight lack of picture subtlety and a not-so-great smart platform, but at this price those are easy to overlook (you can also fix that smart platform problem by buying a Fire TV Stick 4K Max for just £38 from Amazon).
Honestly, I think this might be the best Amazon Prime Day deal I’ve seen.
Are there any good LG OLED deals left?
The prices of most sizes of the LG C5 dropped on Monday and have continued to tumble each day since then.
The 42-inch model, in particular, has been really aggressively discounted all week, having hit £649 on Monday and then gone down as far as £599 last night.
Imagine my surprise, then, when I discovered this morning that the price had actually gone up – to £623.
The 65- and 77-inch models have actually risen in price, too, from £2079 to £2099 in the case of the former, and from £1979 to £2199 in the case of the latter.
Is it game over, then, for LG OLED deal-hunters?
Absolutely not!
For starters, the Amazon Prime Day sales officially run through to the end of tomorrow. Amazon could be saving some extra discounts for the morning.
Rival retailers, too, might be saving some fresh drops for tomorrow, Black Friday-style.
The bigger point, though, is while some prices have gone up slightly overnight, most C5 models are still available for historically very low prices.
The 42-inch model really is still spectacular value at £623 from Amazon, for instance.

A great deal on a four star portable projector
Whether it’s the heatwave driving us outside, the World Cup, or their inherent convenience, portable projectors are a vogue item right now.
And, while most of the models we review do come with some compromises, including 1080p resolutions, short battery lives and more, there are a lot of decent options to choose from.
But, right now, if you were to ask our deals experts which to go for, then they’d point you at the recently discounted Anker Nebula Mars 3 Air.
Capable of decent picture and audio quality and equipped with a hand carry handle, the tiny unit is a great option for people who want a unit to keep the kids entertained or use while glamping.

A word of advice
Prime Day 2026 technically starts at midnight (UK time) tonight. But there are already a lot of early deals appearing. Which is why, to help you avoid buying a lemon, we have a couple of bits of advice for shoppers.
Don’t limit yourself to Amazon
Prime Day is an Amazon event, one that requires a Prime subscription to be part of. But even if you have subscribed to Prime and can take advantage of the event’s discounts, we still recommend checking specialist retailers, as well as Amazon.
First, because specialist retailers usually run similar discounts, some offering even better prices than Amazon during Prime Day.
Second, because some of the higher-end products we recommend aren’t stocked on Amazon, or sell out incredibly fast during the event. In the UK, the five-star KEF XIO Dolby Atmos soundbar we recommend to buyers with deep pockets is a “prime” (see what we did there) example.
Go in prepared
Prime Day is a sales event, so it’s designed to instil a sense of urgency and persuade you to buy things. That means it’s all too easy to get lost in the hype and buy a lot of things you don’t need if you don’t go in prepared.
That’s why we always recommend doing your research before the event and going in with a hit-list of things you want. That can be a shortlist of products to keep an eye on or a category in general, to make sure you’re spending your money only on the things you actually need/want.
The best cheap TV just dropped in price
We always struggle to find good, cheap TVs to recommend. Which is why the TCL C6KS was such a pleasant surprise when we reviewed it last year.
Not only does it have much better specifications than most of the sets we test in the affordable end of the market but it also delivers the goods in the real world.
So much so that our reviewers gave it a What Hi-Fi? Award last year. And now, thanks to a deal on Amazon, the C6KS is even better value.
We reviewed the smaller 50-inch C6KS, not the 65-inch model on sale here. But we’re still happy to recommend it given our positive experience and the price drop on offer. The deal lets you grab the Award-winning 65-inch TCL C6KS for £529 (save £180).
That’s the best price we’ve seen on an already stellar value Mini LED TV.
A great OLED TV deal

Yesterday, I wrote about how I was considering buying the 42-inch LG C5, not because I really need it (if anyone can ever truly need an OLED TV), but because the deal was just too good to resist, and because I rather fancy a 42-inch OLED to use as a gaming and work monitor.
Sadly, while it has jumped back up in price to £729, after hitting an all time low of £649 yesterday, it is still the best small OLED deal we’ve spotted. So if you don’t want to wait, it’s the one to get. For those that can, however, maybe wait a bit longer, as we’re expecting it to drop back down to £649 at some point today or tomorrow. Amazon loves to keep us on our toes, after all…
