The United States and 21 allied countries accused Iran of orchestrating assassination plots, kidnappings and intimidation campaigns targeting dissidents, journalists and Jewish and Israeli communities across Europe, North America and Australia.
In a joint statement, the governments said Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, its Quds Force and the Ministry of Intelligence and Security were responsible for a range of “malign actions” carried out directly or through criminal groups.
The countries also condemned a recent wave of attacks in Europe against Jewish communities, Iranian journalists and U.S. interests that they said were claimed by Harakat Ashab al-Yamin al-Islamiya and supported by intermediaries.
“We stand united in our determination to protect our countries and our people against these threats. The Islamic Republic of Iran must halt these actions now.”
